The
fictional Marquis du Benoit emigrated to England with his three sons at the start of the French Revolution. His wife had passed and he left his estate to find sanctuary for his sons in England's Cornwall coast. His youngest son Andre changed his name to Andrew Barrington when he left his family behind to make his life as an Englishman. The Barrington Saga tells the story of each of his children.
